Background
HDAC10, also known as histone deacetylase 10, is widely expressed at high levels in the liver and kidney. HDAC10 belongs to the class IIb subfamily and has an active deacetylase domain (DAC) and a catalytically inactive leucine-rich domain (LRD). HDAC10 plays a role in homologous recombination, promotes autophagy and survival of neuroblastoma cells, and inhibits cervical cancer metastasis and promotes the cell cycle.
